一期一会 (One Time, One Encounter) is a sensory ritual in which the core concept of Mutual Becoming takes embodied form.
Drought—both material and relational—serves as the central metaphor, evoking not only climatic scarcity but the affective depletion of attention and connection.
The performance unfolds as a site-responsive practice, shaped by the specific rhythm and matter of each location.
Each iteration is distinct, yet part of a cyclical gesture of return—gathering, offering, and releasing the sensorial residue back into the place from which it emerged.
Water is poured and emptied in gestures of difference and repetition, transforming simple acts into an ecological invocation of resonance.
The body, the bowl, the breath, and the surrounding field are woven into a shared choreography of subtle vibration—beyond language, beyond spectatorship.

일기일회’는 뮤츄얼 비커밍(Mutual Becoming)의 개념이 감각적 의식의 형태로 구현되는 퍼포먼스입니다.
‘가뭄’은 이 작업의 핵심 은유로, 물질적 결핍뿐 아니라 감각과 관계의 마름을 상징합니다.
각 장소의 리듬과 물질에 귀 기울이며 새롭게 열리는 이 의식은, 그 땅의 감응에 따라 매번 다르게 펼쳐지는 장소 기반 실천이자, 남긴 흔적을 다시 그 장소에 되돌려 놓는 행위의 순환으로 이어집니다.
유리 그릇에 담긴 물은 몸짓을 따라 부어지고 비워지며, 감응의 가능성을 되살리는 생태적 행위로 작동합니다.
퍼포먼스는 언어 이전의 감각을 일깨우며, 회화와 공간, 신체와 타자 사이의 진동을 하나의 장으로 엮습니다.
